This book is more a series of short stories, with familiar characters and adverbs daniel handler resurfacing in nearly every chapter. On a New York street full of dqniel likened alliteratively to an ear of corn, a man has a final spat with his girlfriend, then promptly falls in love with a taxi-driver.
